BOOKINGS
Each booking implies the acceptance of the general conditions below. You will receive your booking confirmation by mail.
Prices include :
The car rental for the booked period
The fuel
Luxury hotel accommodation
Full board
The local tourism taxes
The entry fees to tourist sites
Leisure activities included in the programme
Airport or train station transfers
Prices do not include :
Optional extras such as bar, telephone, optional activities and other personal expenses.
Payment
Your booking will be validated after we receive a 25% deposit.
The balance is to be paid 60 days prior to departure without further notice on our part.
Should your booking take place less than 60 days before departure, the full amount is to be paid immediately.
Should the balance not be paid 30 days before departure, Authentic Roads has the right to consider that you have cancelled your booking and retain the deposit.
Tour operator cancellation
Authentic Roads reserves the right to cancel 45 days prior to departure for a party which includes less than 50% of the needed number of participants or in the case of any unforeseen event.
As far as possible, a different date will be proposed to the participant.
If the participant cannot accept the change, the amount already paid will be refunded in full, without any compensation or damages.
Customer cancellation
Any cancellation on the part of the participant must be made in writing.
Cancellation charges will be calculated based on the scale below:
- more than 45 days prior to departure : 15% of the amount
- between 45 and 30 days prior to departure : 25% of the amount
- between 29 and 20 days prior to departure : 50% of the amount
- between 19 and 8 days before departure : 75% of the amount
- less than 8 days before departure : 90 % of the amount
- no show 100% of the amount
No refund will be made for shortened or interrupted holidays or unused services due to the customer’s own circumstances, for whatever reason.
Car hire
The vehicle you are allocated is hired from a company authorized to hire cars.
The driver must meet the following requirements :
- minimum age : 28
- a valid licence held for at least 3 years
- a 2,500 euros deposit which will be retained as excess in the event of an accident and damage to the car
- to this effect, an inventory and statement of state of repair will be made in the presence of both parties on collection and restitution of the car.
The definite hire conditions will be found on the car hire contract. Moreover, at the end of each day’s outing, a check up will be carried out on each vehicle. Should there be any defect, we will provide a replacement car but as we use vintage cars, Authentic Roads cannot guarantee that it will be identical to the initial vehicle.
Limits of liability
Authentic roads cannot be held responsible for:
- the faults and failures of the means of transport at our customers’ disposal (car, boat, hot-air balloon…)
- the failures, illegal, liable or unacceptable behaviour of hotel owners and other service suppliers as well as that of their employees
- the prejudice incurred due to unforeseeable events and circumstances beyond our control such as war, civil disturbances, natural disasters, industrial disputes or strikes and any other similar events.
In such cases, Authentic Roads will not be liable to pay any compensation if forced to cancel or change the programme of your holiday.
Complaints
Authentic Roads will try and settle any complaint fairly.
Any complaint will have to be made within 15 days of the end of the holiday, a date after which no complaint will be processed.
- Authentic Roads has taken out an insurance policy to guarantiing its Professional Civil Responsability.
